Day 1 : Yangon

Shwedagon_Pagoda_for_Day_1After breakfast , depart your hotel and drive to Kyaikhtiyo (104 miles from Yangon and driving hour about 4 hours) via Bago. On the way visit the Htaut Kyant War Cemetery,a large and beautifully landscaped cemetery for fallen 27,000 allied soldiers of World War Two.   Upon arrival at Kin Pun “base camp” in Kyaikhtiyo,take a special open pick-up truck to the upper area of the famous Golden Rock Pagoda, a huge boulder completely covered by gold leave sand delicately balanced on the edge of a cliff near the top of Mt.Kyaikhtiyo and one of the most reserved Buddhist Shrines. From the “upper area”, you must at present walk or take a seadan chairs by four poters. In the afternoon, see the sunset from the upper terrace of Golden Rock Pagoda. Overnight at Hotel in Kyaik Hto.


Day 2 : Kyaikhtiyo (Golden Rock Pagoda) – Bago-Yangon

Golden_Rock_Kyaikhtiyo_Pagoda_for_Day_2After breakfast, visit the surrounding area of the Golden Rock Pagoda and drive to Yangon via Bago, an ancient capital of the former Mon Kingdom. In Bago visit including the Shwethalyaung Reclining Buddha (circa 994 AD) which is 55 metres long and the Shwemawdaw Paya which towers 114 metres; Then, visit the Mahazedi Paya(which simply means the Great Pagoda) originally built by King Bayinnaung, subsequently destroyed by an earthquake in 1930 and finally rebuilt in 1982 and the Kaik Pun Paya built in 1476 and where stand four 30-metre high Buddha Images and then visit Kanbawzathadi Palace (circa 1556 AD) which was built by king Bayinnaung (Sinphyumyarshin), the founder of the second Myanmar Empire and where exit the ruin of city wall 20 gates. In the afternoon, return to Yangon.  Overnight at Hotel in Yangon.


Day 3 : Kyaikhtiyo (Golden Rock Pagoda) – Bago-Yangon

Day 4 : Yangon – Syriam (Thanlyin) -Yangon

Thanlyin_for_Day_4After Breakfast, all day tour of Yangon including visits to the National Race Village and  Thanlyin (Syriam), the site of an oil refinery established during the British Colonial period.Visit to the Golden Kyaik-Khauk Pagoda rising on a hillock, an old ancient Porutguese Church (AD 1749-1750) and the Ye Le Pagoda which mean Pagoda on a small island in the middle of the river and can enjoy feeding the huge catfish. The Thanlyin Bridgee which lied between Yangon and Thanyin is one of the longest bridges in Myanmar.On the way to Yangon visit National Race Village where can be observed the different cultures of Myanmar ‘s main national races without having to travel throughout the country. In the evening until transfer to airport airport for your International departure flight.
